EOTC and Camp

EOTC (Education Outside The Classroom) at Chelsea School takes place early in the first term so that we can take advantage of the summer weather.

  • The Year 6 learners spend time at an Auckland EOTC venue
  • The Year 5 learners spend time participating in day trips and activities at school and out and about around Auckland.
  • The Year 3 and 4 learners spend time participating in activities at school as well as day trips around Auckland.
  • The Year 0, 1 and 2s usually have one day a week devoted to EOTC.

EOTC generally include activities such as team building and challenge activities which often focus on environmental and sustainablity issues in our local community. Bush walks, beach studies, swimming and life saving, fishing, camping, sports, visits to the Zoo, MOTAT, Auckland Museum, Rangitoto, Ambury farm and Butterfly Creek are all activities that are often included. Parents always play an important part during any EOTC activities.
