EOTC (Education Outside The Classroom) at Chelsea School takes place early in the first term so that we can take advantage of the summer weather.
- The Year 6 students spend a week at an Auckland EOTC venue
- The Year 5 students spend the week participating in day trips and activities at school and out and about around Auckland.
- The Year 3 and 4 students also have a week of activities at school as well as day trips around Auckland.
- The Year 0, 1 and 2s, in recent years, have one day a week over 6 weeks devoted to EOTC.

EOTC generally include activities such as team building and challenge activities, bush walks, beach studies, swimming and life saving, fishing, camping, sports, visits to the Zoo, MOTAT, Auckland Museum, Rangitoto, Ambury farm and Butterfly Creek.
Parents always play an important part during any EOTC activities.
