Science

At Chelsea Primary School, the Nature of Science has been integrated in all classrooms, and in many ways.

The NZC breaks down Science into five contextual strands;

  1. Planet Earth and Beyond,
  2. Material World,
  3. Living World,
  4. Physical World’
  5. the Nature of Science (NoS).

Nature of Science :

  • Understanding about science
  • Investigating in science
  • Communicating in science
  • Participating and contributing

We start our learning using the…
‘I notice, I think, I wonder concept.

We also use  ‘I observe, I predict, I explain.’
