Meri Kirihimete and a Happy New Year to everyone! Enjoy the festive season with your whānau and we’ll see you again in 2022.

Update – 10 November

Kia ora whānau

As you have probably heard after today’s 1 pm announcement by Minister Hipkins, Auckland Primary Schools can reopen in some form from next Wednesday, 17th November.

The reopening of schools will look quite different to how our kids usually experience school with a smaller number of learners in each class and potentially with rostered days of attendance.

We will also need to factor in those learners who will not be returning to school this year, in terms of providing some level of distance learning.

As you will appreciate, there is a huge amount of planning and organisation ahead in order to mitigate as much risk as we possibly can.

We will be waiting for detailed information that is due to be sent through later today from the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health.  This will give us clear guidelines that we will then plan to implement.

We will be in touch by the end of the week with our reopening plans and a date for the return to school.  We will also need further information from each family, probably in the form of a short survey.

Take care.
