Kia Ora Whānau
This term we have been doing lots of great learning around Matariki, which has finally been given the status it deserves as a national public holiday starting in 2022. Next Friday to celebrate Matariki and the learning we have been doing, we have our annual Matariki Breakfast. This is a chance for our tamariki and their Whānau to bring in food from their culture to share with their classmates and families. After breakfast, we will invite all our Whānau down to the hall for a celebration assembly where we will have our Kapa Haka and choir groups performing, and our Kaumatua Stan will share some of his vast knowledge of navigation using the stars. It is always an awesome morning and we hope you can make it along to join us.
