Whanaungatanga Day – 26th of January

Kia ora whānau

Happy New Year!  I hope 2021 has been a good one so far, and that you’ve had an opportunity for some fun in the sun and some family time.  I have just arrived back from an amazing week in the South Island. My highlights have included jumping off a boat in the Milford Sound (as refreshing as it sounds!) and staying in an eco-cabin on a goat-rescue farm.  I am filled with gratitude at the freedom we have in New Zealand right now.

As outlined in the last newsletter of 2020, we are starting off our year a bit differently in 2021 with Whanaungatanga Day on the 26th of January.

This is a time for you and your child to come along to school and spend a bit of time with their 2021 teacher.  Partnerships between home and school are the foundation for great wellbeing and learning.  This is a time to share aspirations and any other key information that will make the transition into 2021 as smooth as possible.

You can either pop in between 9 am-10 am for a casual touch base, or you can book a 15-minute slot.  We know that some families may still be away on this date, so if for whatever reason, you can’t make it, please get in touch with your child’s teacher to set up an alternative time.

Please use the link below if you are wanting to book a slot.  If you are planning to come for the 9 am – 10 am ‘drop-in’ you won’t need to book.

To book, please click on the link below and use the code q9jh7

If you have any issues with booking a slot, please get in touch.

These sessions will take place in your child’s new classroom.  Spaces 7, 8 and 9 are still undergoing renovations, so we will let you know if a change of location is needed for these classrooms by the end of next week.

Kind regards
