End of Week 1 – Thanks

Kia ora whanau

Thanks for making our first week back on school grounds such a positive one.  The pick-ups and drop-offs have run smoothly with any issues being ironed out quickly.  The surrounding roads have been a lot quieter as more people are walking, biking or scootering.  It’s been lovely to welcome our learners in and farewell them in the afternoon in such a relaxed way. These procedures will continue until we no longer have to contact trace so closely.

The weather next week isn’t looking as good, so please make sure that your child has a raincoat or umbrella with them.  We are going to look at popping up some of our gazebos for children to shelter under while they wait to be collected.

The drinking fountains remain closed, so please make sure your child has a named drink bottle each day.

We would also like to let you know that our Teacher Only Days, planned for Friday 29/5/2020 and Tuesday 2/6/2020 have been cancelled for now.  This is due to everyone needing continuity and the number of days our learners have spent at home in recent weeks.  We may look at rescheduling one of these planned days (with an external facilitator) later in the year.

Have a great weekend together.

Kind regards
