What is the school dress code?

School unform

The school uniform is compulsory.

The following items are available at Postie Plus in Highbury (Highpoint Centre, Mokoia Road, Birkenhead, ph 4808157):

The PTA has set up a rebate to the school with Postie Plus in Birkenhead if you purchase the Chelsea School uniform socks, shorts etc from that store. Please contact the school if anything is unclear.

Please name everything from the skin out. We could start a shop with the lost property. Named clothing can be returned. Unnamed clothing is never recognised by the children! Shoes are not worn inside the classroom, so footwear that is easy to slip on or off several times a day lessens frustration during the first weeks of school.

Shoes must be worn outside in Terms 2 and 3, but are optional in Terms 1 and 4. Sun hats are compulsory Terms 1 and 4.

Jewellery

For safety reasons, no jewellery may be worn except a watch.

Cell phones

Cell phones are not permitted at Chelsea School. If your child needs to have his/her cell phone after school, it can be left for safekeeping at the office.
